With years of collective expertise, Vromo’s team is a restaurant’s strategic partner for success. Currently established in the Ireland, Vromo has expanded its presence in the USA.

Project Duration

The project ran from December 2022 to mid-April 2023. The initiative began with strategic workshops, followed by the actual design and coding phase starting in early 2023.

You eat with your eyes too

Vromo had to modernize their website in order to generate better leads and communicate effectively with their customers. This modernization was critical for their expansion in the US market and further business growth. The client expressed dissatisfaction with their existing website, citing its unattractive design, lack of functionality, and inability to analyse data and gather leads effectively. They also struggled with dependence on their previous agency for tasks such as creating new landing pages. Therefore, the client aimed to have a WordPress website that allowed them to modify and add content independently. Clear communication of Vromo’s functionalities and benefits to its customers was of utmost importance to the client. The goal was to centre the website around these elements to ensure effective communication with their target audience.

How we planned to deliver

We aimed to create a website that fulfilled Vromo’s functional and visual requirements, enabling streamlined business development. The team considered the client’s strong focus on analytics and aimed to provide easy integration with their CRM system and analytics. Given the client’s needs, our role involved identifying the website’s architecture, and its most critical areas, taking into account both business objectives and user pathways. Also, we constructed blocks, using Gutenberg, in a way that allowed the client to add new subpages independently based on existing WordPress blocks, granting them much desired independence.

Project Scope

The project encompassed strategic workshops, the creation of new designs (wireframes and prototypes), development and deployment of the new website, integration with HubSpot, and basic analytics configuration.

Solution

The website was implemented on WordPress, utilizing reusable ACF (Advanced Custom Fields) blocks added through the Gutenberg editor. This approach catered to the client’s requirement for easy content management and the creation of new pages as needed. Gutenberg brings several benefits to our client:

Effortless content duplication: Closure of options in the Gutenberg block streamlines content copying between pages.

Simplified page expansion: Gutenberg provides access to all sections, allowing for experimentation and the addition of new elements.

Branding alignment:
The ability to hide unused blocks ensures consistency with the client’s branding.

PageSpeed optimization: Removing unused sections contributes to faster page loading.

Additionally, we integrated the website with HubSpot through form elements, facilitating lead collection and seamless lead processing by the client’s sales team. The website was also connected to HubSpot and Google Analytics for comprehensive analytics tracking.

Project Phases

  • Strategic Workshops:
Two-days workshops were conducted, focusing on strategic goals, personas, product, and value proposition for Vromo’s customers. A follow-up workshop delved into design aspects, creating brand archetypes, defining website elements, mood boards, and refining the website’s architecture. These workshops became a source of inspiration and knowledge unification. They really helped us understand not only Vromo, as a solution provider, but also the target audience. By translating brand archetypes into tangible designs and optimizing the online store’s architecture, we provided not only a website, but a strategic roadmap. Clients emerged with not just ideas, but a clear path towards achieving their goals.
  • Design:
The process commenced with creating wireframes for all 12 unique views to precisely outline their content before proceeding with the actual graphic design phase.
  • Development:
The development phase spanned around two months, with weekly sprints. The team worked on individual sections of the website, which were then delivered for client feedback and approval.

Challenges

  • Clear communication:
The client aims to clearly communicate the functionalities and benefits of their solution. This requires precisely pinpointing key elements and placing them at the core of the website, directing customers’ attention to the most critical aspects of their offering.
  • Modern and effective website:
The aim was to modernize the website to better capture potential leads and communicate efficiently with new customers. Transitioning to a contemporary website design capable of grabbing attention and portraying them as a cutting-edge tech company presents a challenge.
  • USA market:
New website aimed to give Vromo’s presence there a real boost. This meant making sure that content and communication fit well within the American cultural context and met the expectations of US customers.
  • Being up-to-date:
The previous website was perceived as unattractive and lacking in functionalities. Vromo mentioned difficulties in performing data analysis and effectively collecting leads on the site.
  • Being independent:
Vromo seeks to become less reliant on external agencies for content creation and modification. The constant need to rely on others to create new pages and make modifications limited their flexibility. Hence, the need for a WordPress website that would enable them to independently manage content.

Project Outcomes

  • The crystal-clear and user-friendly design leaves no room for the target audience to overlook the value that Vromo brings to the table. The website seamlessly informs visitors about the offerings, effectively showcasing what Vromo has to offer. With easily accessible “Book a Demo” forms, the intuitive layout ensures that visitors find what they need effortlessly.
  • Thanks to the implementation of AFC blocks via Gutenberg, Vromo has all the power to effortlessly create new pages or make changes as they need to, while maintaining the consistent style and branding.
  • Page load times significantly improved, leading to 123% according to Think with Google in bounce rate on the day of deployment.
  • Cumulative Layout Shift was minimized, ensuring a smoother user experience during page loading.
  • The new website is aesthetically appealing, earning awards such as CSS Design Award recognition – in 3 categories!

All with “Mission Accomplished” status at the end.
